The rapid development of social media has unknowingly influenced many aspects of life. Most people no longer hesitate or find it difficult to share their daily activities, from waking up, working hours, to spending time with loved ones on weekends.
This also indirectly has a significant impact on business owners or entrepreneurs, especially in the culinary sector. The label of an "Instagrammable" restaurant or café greatly affects the appeal and existence of your food or beverage business. Certainly, this attractive concept should be supported by delicious dishes to compete and entice customers.
Moreover, another important aspect that should not be overlooked is the comfort of visitors. This can be influenced by many factors, such as location, availability of parking, service, and even simple yet essential elements, such as the coolness and spaciousness of the café during busy times.
Therefore, the selection of cooling equipment to create freshness and comfort for visitors is crucial. There are many options available; at AZKO, you can achieve optimal coolness with air coolers or by using misting fans.
To determine the type of cooling equipment that suits your needs, you can start by identifying the placement area. Different placement locations may require different sources of coolness. Let’s find the answer below!
How Air Coolers & Misting Fans Work Differently
Although both create coolness, the operation and cooling sources of air coolers and misting fans are different. Similar to conventional fans, misting fans circulate air around them using available blades. However, what sets misting fans apart is the presence of a water spray compressor that sprays water in front of the fan blades.
The water droplets spun by the blades will evaporate, producing a lower temperature, so the air coming from the misting fan feels cooler and fresher. This operation differs from air coolers, which utilize ice packs placed in a water tank. The ice packs are what make the air released by the air cooler automatically feel cold and refreshing.
Choose Air Coolers for Indoor Placement
For a cool breeze that is evenly distributed throughout all areas, choose an air cooler as the solution. Besides its compact design, which is mostly rectangular, the operation of air coolers using ice packs as a cooling source is more ideal for indoor areas compared to misting fans. You don’t have to worry about carpets or floors becoming slippery due to the water spray from the misting fan’s compressor.
When selecting an air cooler, consider the size of the commercial area (customer area) of your café or restaurant. For an area of 12-15 square meters, you can use the KRIS Air Cooler, which has a speed of 500 cubic meters per hour and is supported by an 8-liter water capacity. This is quite ideal for a device that requires only 75 watts of power.

With a compact product dimension of 32.5 x 44 x 117.3 cm, you can place the KRIS Air Cooler in the corner of the room. The KRIS Air Cooler is also equipped with several other outstanding features that can adjust the level of coolness you need. For even cooling, you can utilize the swing feature that blows cold air in all directions. There are also low, mid, and high features that determine the fan speed levels for air circulation. All these features can be found on the top of the KRIS Air Cooler, as shown in Figure 2.

For Outdoor Needs, Use Misting Fans
Considering that outdoor air is dirtier, the placement of misting fans is more ideal compared to air coolers, especially in terms of maintenance. Cleaning misting fans is also more time- and labor-efficient because it focuses on the larger blades rather than the air cooler, which has small and tightly spaced filter screens. Therefore, ensure that the outdoor area of your culinary business remains cool and comfortable with the help of misting fans.
The size and outdoor concept (semi or full) of your café will also determine the type of misting fan used. If the concept is semi-outdoor, still resembling a semi-open room and not using air conditioning or relying on natural air circulation, you can utilize the 2.3 Ltr Graso KRISBOW Misting Fan (Figure 3).

With an air flow rate of up to 48 cubic meters per minute, the KRISBOW Misting Fan can maintain stable humidity levels for approximately 11 hours. Its coverage area is extensive, encompassing 20 square meters, with product dimensions of only 40 x 40 x 117 cm. However, if the outdoor area in question is fully exposed to the elements, then a larger, industrial misting fan with a water capacity exceeding two liters will be needed.
So, you no longer need to worry about choosing the right equipment for your business. AZKO is here to offer solutions that meet all your cooling needs.
